Easy access from Hwy 124 makes this a comfortable drive from the city and once you turn onto the final stretch of cottage road, urban stresses will just fade away as the lake beckons and you just know you made a great choice of vacation cottage.
A large lawn gently slopes to the shoreline that has a sandy beach and shallow walkout to the water. There is deeper water off the end of the dock, and the swim out to the Turtle Rock may just become a morning ritual , or the last thing to do in the evening before the barbecue beckons. Then watch the sun setting from the dock, light a campfire and count the myriad stars as they fill the night sky. Perfect!
The inside of the cottage won’t disappoint either. The kitchen is of a good size and well equipped to create any meal from a light snack to be enjoyed at the café table to a full Thanksgiving dinner. The living room offers comfortable seating with satellite TV and a propane stove for cooler evenings.
A wide staircase leads to an upper hallway with 3 good sized bedrooms and a den/4th bedroom with a sofa bed. There’s a full bathroom on this level with a two piece washroom on the main floor. Finally, a spacious screened sun room offers a great spot for morning coffee or a place to relax at any time of the day and enjoy the lake views. A door leads to the deck where there are Muskoka chairs and barbecue.
Whitestone village has a small general store, and there are full town facilities in Parry Sound, 25 minutes south. If you can tear yourself away from the delights of The Sharicton, take a cruise on the Island Queen and tour the thousands of Georgian Bay Islands –a trip not to be missed.
