Just 20 minutes from Parry Sound Lake Manitouwabing sparkles in the sunshine with unspoilt splendour, and we are proud and delighted to feature Rainbow's End for the summer of 2011.
Easy access from Hwy 124 makes this a comfortable drive from the city and once you turn onto the final stretch of cottage road, urban stresses will just fade away as the lake beckons and you just know you made a great choice of vacation cottage. The spacious accommodation and 2-bedroom guest cabin will suit a multi-generation family or two families vacationing together, giving a lot of individual privacy.
The front door opens into a hallway that has a bedroom and bathroom off it - doors to the living room can be closed to make this a more private space. The living room is elegantly furnished and has a propane fireplace for cooler evenings and windows overlooking the dek and lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with higher end appliances and just about everything you will need to cater for the family meals. There's a more formal dining area as well as a breakfast nook for those times when you want to eat indoors. A staircase from the kitchen leads up to a large bedroom/bathroom suite with 2 queen beds and lots of space for either a couple with small children, or even the teens to have their own room.
The master bedroom is spacious with a queen bed and delightful seating area with lakefront views, and a walk-in closet. An ensuite bathroom boasts a whirlpool tub and fireplace along with a double shower.
Stairs lead down to the lower level which is fully finished with a large family room and additional kitchen & bathroom and sliding doors to the waterfront. A study with a desk can double up as an office or additional sleeping area with the pullout couch, and a further bedroom completes the accommodation on this level. There is a wide scereen TV in the family room with additional TVs and satellite boxes in the living room and upper bedroom suite.
Outside the cottage is where most of the summer action will take place with a wide sandy beach and shallow walkout into crystal clear water. The water deepens gradually to around 5ft at the end of the 55' dock - great for those who want to dive and jump into the water. The main deck and patio area accessed from the breakfast nook has comfortable outdoor furniture, a big barbecue, and enjoys superb views across the water.
If you have a larger group, people wanting more privacy, or perhaps teens who want a getaway of their own, you will be delighted to learn that there is a neat little sleeping cabin on the property opposite the beach from the main house. Cosy and cottagey, this outbuilding has 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, a kitchenette and a living room with corner windows looking out over the waterfront. Photos of this can be found at the very bottom of the listing.
This cottage is only available in High Season and for weekly rentals only.
