Located on the shores of popular Big Whitefish Lake in the heart of Muskoka, Pinewood is a cottage that takes full advantage of an exquisite shoreline. A shallow sandy entry is great for small children, while swimmers can enjoy deeper water swimming from the dock. The dock area has fabulous views and doubles as a deck and seating area. It is not hard to imagine spending entire afternoons on the dock enjoying sunshine, swimming and boating.
The lake is clean and with its many bays is a paradise for boaters and fisherman alike. The Seguin Marina is a short drive away if you wish to rent a boat for a day or the duration of your stay. Privacy is assured with a generous amount of wooded area between you and the neighbours.
While inside, you will definitely know you are at the cottage. Pine wood interior is everywhere - from the 3 bedrooms to the kitchen, dining and living areas. The living room fully utilizes the topography to offer a full time view of the waterfront and lake. If for some reason you tire of the view (or when it gets dark), there is a TV with DVD player for movies, as well as a nice sound system for your tunes.
A wood stove will keep you warm on cooler nights, although you may opt to warm up in the hot tub. The tub is tucked just outside the cottage in a sheltered area, so even in the Winter it is a great spot. Budding Olympians may want to try out the trampoline located near the lakeshore. No space has been wasted at this cottage - you'll even find a pool table in the basement area - and while it has seen better days, it certainly suffices for a friendly game or two of 8-ball.
Should you want to venture out, the area bristles with things to do - golf courses, museums and natural attractions are a part of the area that keeps people returning year after year. Parry Sound is a short drive away and offers shopping, restaurants and any necessities you may require.
