Paradise Lane Cottage is aptly named as this is the most delightful location on Parry Island, just 15 minutes from the town of Parry Sound. Beautiful Georgian Bay views, westerly exposure, and a sandy beach are just a few of the great features.
Renovations have given this cottage additional accommodation for 2008, and with new windows, hardwood flooring throughout, and additional bedroom accommodation in the basement, it is a spacious and welcoming property.
The main floor has two of the bedrooms and bathroom, along with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The beautiful solid wood couch and chair provides comfortable seating for those times staying in and watching TV. The basement family room has a bar and sliding doors to outside, and with the downstairs bedroom having a queen bed and bunks, this makes it a great property for two families vacationing together.
Of course, it's the outside that will get the most use, and parents with smaller children will love the sandy beach and shallow walkout, with the breakers for safety. The water deepens outside the sheltered area for great swimming. And with a canoe and pedal boat, there's the opportunity for a bit of exploring too.
And talking about exploring, this is a wonderful area to see. The town of Parry Sound has lots of attractions and don't miss a trip on the Island Queen to see the 30,000 Islands. Kilbear Provincial Park has plenty of hiking and biking trails and lots of sandy beach. Visit craft stores and restaurants in town, or just take a stroll down leafy country lanes if you need gentle exercise. My choice? Just to sit on that deck at sundown and take in the view.
