As soon as you see The Priory, you know that you have arrived at somewhere special. A combination of vertical log construction, a wood motif throughout, comfortable surroundings and wonderful views make this cottage the choice for families looking for a perfect blend of quality and value.
The open concept cottage interior is bright and spacious. The living area is the beneficiary of huge windows overlooking the lake. Enhanced by the cottages position high above the water, this room affords some wonderful cottage country ambience.
The family cook can easily keep tabs on goings on since the kitchen is open to the living area. This makes the serving of drinks and snacks a snap. More formal dining can happen in the dining area, again overlooking the lake, adjacent to the living area. Two comfortable bedrooms round out the main floor area.
Upstairs, those looking to unwind with with a movie will find a TV and DVD player in the loft area - the perfect place for families after dark or on a rainy day. Also on the upper level is a bedroom with a pair of twin beds - a private retreat for the kids in your group.
An extensive deck runs across the back of the cottage, allowing you to relax and enjoy cottage life while checking on what you have heating up in the BBQ while at the same time keeping your eye on those enjoying the waterfront.
Swimming is great (swim shoes are recommended since there are some stones) at the shore, or you may wish to grab the canoe and take to exploring some of the 40 miles of boating available to you. If you bring a motor boat (or rent one) you will find you can travel many miles into greater Lake Cecebe or north up to the Magnetawan River. Either way, you will find lots to see and do.
There is plenty to see and do in the area. The towns of Burks Falls and Sundridge are short drives away, and there are a number of rapids and waterfalls to capture the imagination.
