There are places on this Earth that are truly inspiring - that put you in awe of the natural world. Severn Heaven is one of those places.
Located on Muskoka's doorstep, this cottage offers a variety of activities for a family who is not willing to compromise on their precious vacation time.
The first thing you will notice when you enter Severn Heaven is the expansive view from the open concept living area. The Severn shows off its deep blue waters, blending with the rich greens of the surrounding pine forest. The U-shaped dock offers a portal to all things waterfront - boating, swimming and fishing. While not suited to very young children, older youths and adults will love the deep water swimming off the dock. Enjoy the canoeing or kayaking for several kilometres in either direction. Larger craft can be launched at the nearby Marina or Big Chute and docked at your dorrstep.
Inside the cottage, you will find most comfortable and well-appointed surroundings. The focus is always on the waterfront, with the double storey windows providing a constant vista. The kitchen, living and dining areas on the main floor are open concept, allowing the family to stay in touch while meals are being prepared and served. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking indoors or out.
The living area is complete with comfortable seating for all and a TV with DVD player for movie nights or perhaps rainy day entertainment.
Downstairs is an area younger people will appreciate, with a games table and games, as well as a foosball table for head-to-head competition.
Severn Heaven has three spotless bathrooms, and after a day of fresh air you will easily drift off in one of the three comfortable bedrooms. There is also a loft for those that may want that "camp out" feeling in the safety of the great indoors.
While you will enjoy the peace and serenity of the Muskoka setting, you are a convenient distance to civilization should you require it. The town of Coldwater is 20 minutes away, with historic Midland about 45 minutes distant.
