The new owners of this lovely cottage spent many summers renting cottages before buying their own, so know what rental guests are looking for. A good night’s sleep, a safe environment for children, and up to date facilities were just some of the criteria and, along with a superb location, they have created a great vacation spot for their guests.
Perry Lake is part of a three lake chain about 20 minutes north of Huntsville, to the east of Emsdale. Given the proximity to Huntsville as well as Burk’s Falls, the cottage is a good base for a vacation at any time of the year, whether it’s a water activity summer holiday, or a snow-based winter break. The lake is beautifully clean and clear and has shallow water at the shoreline for smaller children to enjoy, and deeper water at the end of the dock. The terrain is grassed and sloping from the cottage to the water with a set of steps for easy access. A canoe and pedalboat are included for exploring the lake.
The cottage has been renovated, newly decorated and comfortably furnished throughout. The entry from the parking area opens into a small lobby with steps up to an inner cottage door and another door onto the deck which is fully enclosed for child safety. Inside the cottage, the kitchen is bright and well-equipped with a dishwasher and microwave as well as a range of small appliances. A dining area to one side has a table to seat six people. The living room has sliding doors to the deck and is furnished with leather chairs and a comfortable couch. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom complete the accommodation on the main level.
Stairs lead down to the lower floor where there is a spacious family room with pullout couches and a foosball table along with a further bedroom and second bathroom with a shower.
Indoor entertainment is taken care of with satellite TV and an extensive book and DVD library as well as plenty of board games. Hi speed internet access is supplied for those that need to stay connected.
