Conjure up a log home in your mind, and Antlers' Rest is guaranteed to surprise you! Using a unique vertical log architecture, the builders of this cottage created something spectacular on the doorstep to Algonquin Park. Antler's Rest is a delightful blend of the old and the new, and the owners are delighted to be able to share it with you.
The striking log construction is evident throughout the cottage. The spacious master bedroom will ensure you know you are in cottage country, but doesn't sacrifice anything in the way of space or comfort. The living area, brightened by large windows, is comfortable and cozy in all seasons. The well-appointed kitchen includes, in addition to a standard oven/stove, a unique, fully functional woodstove just like Grandma had. The main bath includes a shower and separate bath tub.
The second bedroom includes sleeping for 4 others, a great place for the kids, with 2 bunk beds. A third bedroom on the lower level, along with a second bathroom, rounds out the sleeping arrangements.
The outside of the cottage is very private and peaceful, with a grassy area between the cottage and the waterfront. A large deck, complete with BBQ, overlooks the water. Trees line much of the shore, with a path to the dock and swimming area where a shallow, sandy entry awaits swimmers and boaters alike. A comfortable screened-in porch is the perfect compromise if you can't decide whether to be inside or out.
