A classic, timeless property on the shores of Georgian Bay in Wasaga Beach available for your family group. That pretty well sums it up. This 4-bedroom cottage lets you experience the traditional "week at the beach" feel that so many of our clients desire.
Wasaga Classic is located on River Road East, far enough from the crowded areas to afford you your privacy, but close enough to the main drag that you can easily get there to partake in the summer excitement.
The cottage itself is clean and bright, with pretty well everything you need on one level. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and one with bunk beds - perfect for a family with kids of any and all ages. The living area, complete with cable TV/DVD, overlooks the deck and beach area, with sliders leading to the great outdoors. The kitchen, dining area and a 4-piece bathroom round out the facilities. There is a 4th bedroom with twin beds, an additional TV/seating area, washer/dryer and 4-piece bathroom on the lower level as well.
The beach area and outdoors are the main attractions here though! A back deck sits in a semi shaded area overlooking the classic beach grass and waterfront. You will likely find yourself spending a fair bit of time here, whether it be relaxing with a good novel, watching the kids on the beach, or barbecuing and enjoying an outdoor meal.
A quick stroll on a path through the beach grass finds you on soft, warm sand, which extends into the bay for great swimming or walks up and down the beach. In the distance across the bay you can see the Blue Mountains. Note that on summer weekends, boat traffic from the river mouth can be busy. The current can also be unpredictable in the channel, so caution should be taken not to swim out too far right in front of the cottage. Those that wish to venture farther out into the bay can do so by just walking down the beach a couple of hundred yards.
As the day winds down, you may wish to sit at the picnic table to enjoy a fabulous sunset, and then share a couple of stories and marshmallows around a campfire. The fresh air and water will leave you relaxed and you should sleep like a baby, with the cares of the world left behind you for another day.
