Merkley's Woods is located a very short distance (about 750 M) from two nice beaches - the public beach at Lafontaine Beach Park, and an even nicer but lesser known beach about the same distance away. Suited to small to medium size families, this cottage is great for those who want something in cottage country without the expense but with the convenience, neatness and amenities to make them comfortable.
Located in Lafontaine, the cottage is well positioned for those looking to enjoy a vacation in Huronia. Historic Midland and Penetanguishene are less than 20 km away, with Awenda Provincial Park slightly closer. Just a little further afield is Wasaga Beach, which buzzes with all sorts of activities throughout the year.
The 4 bedrooms sleep up to 6 adults plus 4 children in comfort, and a crib is provided for couples with an infant.
A comfortable living area is on the main level with the kitchen - a great spot to wind down after a day at the beach or exploring the region. If you still have some energy, why not challenge the other members of your group to a game or two of 8 ball on the pool table on the lower level? Merkley's Woods is available at any time of year, so in addition to being a great place to spend a summer week, it is available to those who wish to take in some colours on a Fall weekend, or perhaps a group of skiers in Winter.
