On the sandy shores of Lake Simcoe this perfect little cottage enjoys views across the lake that are just breathtaking. Boosting the best sunsets in Ontario any family will have a wonderful time making smores by the campfire and any couple can sit together, romantically on the shore side, as the sun slips behind the watery horizon.
Situated on a quiet country lane on the outskirts of the town of Brechin, Lone Birch Retreat is exactly like its namesake, a retreat. Away from the bustle of city life this cottage is the perfect getaway. Well equipped and newly renovated the warm ambiance of the property will be the first thing you feel as you walk through the door. The beautifully refinished original hardwood with the tastefully repainted interior lets you know that the owner is very talented at interior design. The furnishings are of a high quality and the beds are comfortable with new mattress toppers. The new mid-size kitchen gives lots of space to prepare a feast for the family. The most impressive image is that of the view through the sunroom and out of the panoramic windows to the lakeshore.
The cottage waterfront is second to none and is typical of Lake Simcoe's eastern shore. A small sandy beach leads into the water and stays firm and weed less for a few 100 ft. Perfect for young children, on calm days, this is excellent waterfront. Due to the size of the lake, on breezy days and during passing storms, the swells on the shoreline can become sizable and is not suitable for young children as you can expect from any of the shores of the great lakes.
Only a short drive to Orillia, the cottage is located within easy reach of many restaurants and the entertainment at Casino Rama. So enjoy a night out or simply stay in and enjoy this great little cottage.
