For those people who really appreciate a glamorous setting, this cottage is for you! Eight outdoor stone stairs lead down to the front foyer which is very welcoming and bright with ceramic tile floors. There is even a wall niche with lighting and a granite counter for you to keep track of your keys etc. when you arrive. Beneath the 25’ vaulted living room ceiling with warm golden paint, leather furniture is comfortably placed around a backgammon coffee table. The couch faces a flat screen television and a lofty gas fireplace for chilly days and evenings. A beautifully classic kitchen with granite countertops is open to the living room and accommodates up to 10 people with 4 barstools facing the counter and another 6 chairs placed around a spacious kitchen table where you can enjoy a marvelous sunrise on every morning of your stay.
The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, a large fan, microwave, expresso machine, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and dishwasher to make cooking a breeze! Those preparing meals will still enjoy being able to spend time in the open concept space with family or friends. Try out the gas barbecue with its natural gas pipeline. At this cottage there are no BBQ tanks to refill!
One of the most spectacular features of this cottage is the huge deck with glass barriers so there is no obstruction in viewing small airplane landings, sailboats, and seadoos etc on Georgian Bay. The deck is so large that it resembles a café with three ample patio tables in graduated sizes and accompanying chairs. There is also a large umbrella for shade if needed. This is the perfect place to enjoy a full moon for hours, or enjoy ice cream sundaes in mid-afternoon.
There are two walkouts to the deck. If you prefer a more natural setting, follow the deck stairs down to the shore with 100’ water frontage where there is another large table and chairs placed in the shade of a large birch tree. Supervision of small children will be extremely manageable from either the glass enclosed upper deck or the lower patio or shoreline area with a firepit ready for toasting marshmallows.
What would your family and friends like to do? There are nearby walking trails and great fishing. Take the canoe and/or paddleboat to go to the general store (a 2-minute boat ride away). A government dock and launch is also nearby. Ample lifejackets and water shoes are available for all people aged 5 and up. We recommend water shoes due to the rocky lake bottom. In winter, there are skidoo trails and rentals around the corner.
Twelve pot lights are inset into the eaves trough so you will have no problem finding your way around the cottage at night.
On rainy days a ping pong table in the basement will provide hours of fun for both children and adults. A CD/DVD player will allow you to enjoy plenty of movies that are waiting just for you.
Climb the dark hardwood maple staircase to the master bedroom that features another gas fireplace and all of the bedrooms, including the two off the living room, have a classic design. All but one of the bedrooms have ceiling fans, and the cottage is so well insulated that the gas fireplace warms the living spaces in a matter of a few minutes.
The two 3-pc. bathrooms are spacious and well decorated. This executive cottage is equipped with central vac to help you with any cleaning chores during your stay. You will be sorry to leave at the end of your vacation, but book quickly and you may be lucky enough to reserve it again!
