Sometimes, all you want is a nice little cottage in which to relax and spend a week at the beach with the kids. Balm Beach stroll is exactly that.
Located on Tiny Beaches Road just south of Balm Beach, this cottage is cozy and clean - perfect for families on a budget...and you won't even spend a lot of money on gas, as it's only 90 minutes from the GTA.
The beach is the star attraction of the area of course. Soft sand and great swimming are the hallmarks of the best freshwater beaches in the world. The cottage is located across the road from the waterfront, and a public access beach path is just a 3 minute walk down the street.
Please note that there are private cottages directly across the road from this cottage which block the waterfront view. The photos shown in the listing are taken from the public beach mentioned above.
You'll probably be spending most of your time at water's edge, but when you do need to return to the cottage you'll find it has all the essentials. There are 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed, so sleeping is provided for up to 6 people. There is an eat-in kitchen and a 3-piece bath, as well as a cozy living room at the back of the cottage to relax with a book before bedtime.
Behind the cottage, there is a picnic table and a barbecue to tame those cottage country appetites. And of course, you are in an area teeming with things to do, all within a short driving distance. Wasaga Beach is just 30 minutes down the Georgian Bay Coastline, and Historic Midland is just 10 minutes down the road. Awenda Provincial Park is less than 20km, and cyclists may find it a pleasant excursion.
