It's just a little over 2 hours from
Toronto to this lovely cottage on Seabright Bay connected to Round Lake. Peace and tranquillity are the order of the day as this part of the lake is mostly frequented by canoeists and anglers. Paddlers will enjoy the picturesque route into Round Lake or exploring hidden streams, while swimmers can dive off the end of the dock into the clear water. This is truly a haven for water lovers.
This upgraded cottage has a wealth of wood that exudes warmth and welcome. The entrance hallway opens into an open plan kitchen, living and dining area that is light-filled and comfortably furnished with a wood burning stove for warming up on cooler evenings. Two of the bedrooms are located off the hallway and the other two and to one side of the living area, with a bathroom between them. A TV and stereo system provide entertainment and there are board games, DVDs and CDs for keeping the whole family occupied if you need to be inside.
Sliding doors open onto a wide south facing deck with barbecue and patio furniture. Steps lead from the deck to a lower area where there's a screened gazebo and chimnea firepit. Further stairs go to the waterfront dock. Since so much time will be spent outside, there's plenty of outdoor furntiure for relaxing and taking in the view.
The base as you enter the water is composed of small rocks and gravel, making it safe for barefoot entrance. The water depth from the shoreline is about 3 ft, but increases quickly towards the end of the dock . There is a canoe and paddleboat for guest use.
Seabright Bay on Round Lake is just 10 minutes north of Highway 7 so
