Enjoy time on the tranquil Crowe River, yet have easy access into delightful Crowe Lake. You can even bring your boat and launch it right on the property. Just sit and watch the osprey diving for fish, enjoy
the otters as they cavort in the water, and perhaps
get a glimpse of the elk or deer recently seen in the
woodland around the cottage.
The Crowe is one of our favourite rivers as it gently flows into Crowe Lake. The water is clean and clear and you can jump or dive off the dock. There are some weeds at the waters edge, but also a clear and shallow walkout although as it is a bit soft underfoot, you will need watershoes.
The exterior of the cottage is lawned and there is plenty of it for children to run and play. Parents can sit on the patio area where there's a stone table with plenty of additional garden furniture. The fiirepit at the water’s edge will
be the venue for many evenings of marshmallow roasts
and fireside conversation.
The owners have recently renovated and re-decorated and the result is a light and airy, open plan kitchen, dining and living area along the waterside of the cottage. Sliding doors open onto a screened sunroom so you can enjoy the evenings without being bugged! A few steps up and you reach the two bedrooms, and large bathroom where you will also find a washer and dryer (unusual in a smaller cottage).
To one side of the main cottage is a bunkie which will be a neat place for the older kids to stay. With a pullout couch, additional seating and a TV, they will enjoy having their own space.
There’s lots to see and do in this lovely area.
Provincial Parks, plenty of hiking trails, and pretty
riverside towns and villages, will keep the country
explorers happy, while those who just want to relax, fish and sunbathe have it all too!
