This great cottage rental offers what most people want on their vacation. Privacy, great waterfront, a comfortable cottage with lots of space, and a Muskoka screened sunroom with a hot tub.
The approach to this cottage hints of the delights to come with the winding road ending in a circular driveway. I would bet few people will head indoors without first discovering the watefront and being totally delighted with what is on offer. Several docks, a hammock, seating areas, a gazebo, a firepit.....I just loved this waterside area. The whole family will enjoy the room to swim from the docks or just enjoy sitting and relaxing.
We are sometimes asked about the cottage picture that makes it look as though there's a close neighbour. The building shown in the photo is all Moosewood - it's a sprawling cottage with so much room for everyone. The nearest neighbour is screened by trees making this one of our most private cottages.
I can imagine most time will be spent down at the watefront, but the interior of this cottage won't disappoint either. There is lots of space for the family to spread out. The family room has comfortable seating and a table tennis table, while the living room at the other end of this spacious cottage has the TV. The dining area and well appointed kitchen are in between. A large screened sunroom is accessed by sliding doors from the living room - the hot tub is located to one side. Three bedrooms and a bathroom complete this spacious accommodation.
This is a great area for exploring. Bancroft is just 35 minutes to the north for supermarkets, craft shops and restaurants; or take a meandering country road to Egan Chute Provincial Park and picnic by the falls. To the west is Coe Hill, Chandos Lake and a little further on to Silent Lake Provincial Park. We felt that most time would be spent at the cottage though – swimming, fishing and just having fun! |
