The beautiful waterfront and fabulous views are not the only features that make this Kawartha cottage an outstanding choice for your vacation. The spacious and extremely comfortable accommodation will welcome your family for a wonderful spring, summer or fall vacation, and with the attractive village of Lakefield only 15 minutes drive, it's a great location too.
Dummer Lake (also known as White Lake) is in a quiet and tranquil area surrounded by woodland and delightful places to explore. Kawartha Paradise faces east across the lake and has a large expanse of lawn leading to the waterfront where the entry is shallow with a hard sand base – great for small kids. The dock stretches out into the lake and it’s easy to imagine taking morning coffee as the sun rises and the loons call across the water. The children will love the play area and sand box, basketball hoop or just playing ball on the grass.
The ‘cottage’, which is more a spacious and elegant home has everything needed for a great vacation whatever the weather. A large kitchen with a walkout to the deck, is well equipped and ready for the nominated chef to take charge. With plenty of work space and a centre island, catering for a large family will be a breeze. Eating in is taken care of with an attractive dining room, or elect to dine al fresco on the deck overlooking the lake.
There are three bedrooms on the main level and the master has an ensuite bathroom. Families with babies will appreciate the crib, playpen and high chair thoughtfully provided by the owner. A comfortable den with leather furniture and a TV is a pleasant space for relaxing or listening to some music.
Everyone will enjoy the family room on the lower floor with its large sofa for watching movies on the big screen TV, or playing table tennis, pool or Foosball. The propane stove will keep the room cosy in cooler weather and a walkout to the waterfront makes access easy for children to run out to the lake when they’ve had enough of the indoor entertainment. Two further bedrooms and a large bathroom complete the accommodation on this level.
Keeping in touch with the outside world is taken care of with hi-speed internet and a range of books, toys, games and DVDs will keep everyone happy should the weather not co-operate.
The local area abounds with places to see and things to do. Take a look at the Warsaw Caves and Conservation Area; drive out to Petroglyphs Provincial Park, or wander around the arts and crafts stores in Lakefield. Don’t miss the Peterborough Lift Lock boat tour – it’s great fun. You’ll have a wonderful vacation at Kawartha Paradise so don’t wait – book now!
