If you are looking for a great location, a spacious cottage, a sandy beach, and lots of lawn for play, you’ve found the right one. Jill’s Cottage is on Chemong Lake, which is popular for fishing and boating, and only 20 minutes from Peterborough if you feel the need for bigger shopping than you can find in the waterside town of Bridgenorth. Families with small children will enjoy the sandy beach with shallow walkout, while the nearby marina will rent you a boat for exploring the lake. Alternatively, just sit out on the large deck and relax your heart out.
The cottage is big inside with a large kitchen and breakfast dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of small appliances and has a breakfast area with bar stools along with a small dining table. There is a larger dining room for more formal eating, with a separate table for cards and games. To one end of the cottage are two bedrooms, one with a double and the other with twin beds, and a bathroom with shower. At the other side of the kitchen is the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a separate area with a futon. The master has a door onto the deck.
Across the front of the cottage between the two bedroom areas are the attractive and comfortable living areas. There are three separate spaces so everyone has a space to relax and read, watch TV, listen to music, or just plain chill out. Doors open onto the deck which is also spacious and has a barbecue and gazebo so you can sit out under the sun or take the shade when the day heats up.
There are neighbours to either side and the marina is visible from the deck but the main view is of the expanse of Chemong Lake. We can imagine taking morning coffee on the dock as the sun comes up and savouring the peace and tranquility as the lake comes to life; spending the day swimming and fishing and sunbathing, before a barbecue and campfire under the stars. This is bliss!
