This beautiful log home on tranquil Gunter Lake will please all the family. There's plenty of space, a great kitchen, screened in sun room, lots of decking, a hot tub and a games room. What more can you ask for?
You will know you've arrived somewhere special as you turn into the driveway and see the rich colour of this log home, and become entranced by the glimpse of lakefront beyond. On entering the cottage, the aroma of pine and cedar welcomes guests, as a short hallway leads into the great room, which along with the dining area, overlooks the waterfront. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a full bathroom are accessed off the hallway. The open plan living,dining and kitchen area offers a convivial space for the whole group to relax and enjoy. The kitchen itself is a dream for the nominated cook with a professional stove and griddle, and a range of small appliances.
Double doors lead from the dining area to a large screened sunroom with large propane barbecue and plenty of seating for guests enjoying the beautiful sunsets. The deck is accessed from the sunroom where there's even more patio furniture. In fact there is so much space at this cottage you'll wonder where the rest of the family went!
The upper level of the cottage has two large twin bedrooms with log beds and a further sitting area overlooking the lower floor. Another set of stairs lead up to a mezzanine bedroom furnished with another double bed.
Lets not forget the entertainment/games area on the lower floor with patio doors leading to a patio where the hot tub is located. In fact this cottage is so fully loaded, you'll be hard pressed to find anything the owners have missed in their aim to have you thoroughly enjoy your vacation.
Outside you'll find the large firepit with a semicircle of stone seating, and a walk down to the waterfront. The extensive dock is great to fish from, or swim out to the platform off-shore, and sunbathe, jump or dive. If you must drag yourself away from all this, it's a half hour drive to Bancroft but we can't see that happening much.
