The property is situated on a fabulous lot that looks out over Redstone Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. The owners of the cottage have included a great fire pit for socializing, and a hammock for lazy days reading and taking in the rays. Down on the dock you will find delightful waterfront with some loose stones but mostly firm sand underfoot. As one of The Haliburton Highlands Premier Lakes the area offers some impressive sights of multi-million dollar estates and the quality surroundings you could expect of such a location. The size of the lake also allows for extensive exploring on a motor boat or the watercraft provided.
The cottage has a lot of space and with 4.5 good sized bedrooms it can easily accommodate two families. The .5 bedroom has a single bed in the loft that overlooks the great room and has a seating area which is perfect for the kids to hide away.
Bears are a feature theme of the cottage and throughout you will find carved, stuffed and sculpted bears. If you want to see the real thing, a short drive to the local dump in the dusk hours will provide some excellent views of these majestic creatures in their not- so- natural habitat. Comfort is the order of the day in this cottage from well appointed bedrooms to the living room furniture, and it is clear this is a cottage that is ideal for entertaining and socializing, from the enormous kitchen with top of the range appliances to the seating area around the open fireplace, or outside.
You'll no doubt spend time in the screened in sunroom off to the side of the cottage enjoying the fabulous Redstone sunsets.
Redstone Lake is one of the top three in the Haliburton Highlands, offering miles of boating and canoeing fun, as well as having some of the clearest and cleanest water in the area. With the renowned Haliburton Forest just a few miles away, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking too. |
