Right on the shores of beautiful Paudash Lake, yet close to Bancroft, snowmobile trails and a marina for boat rentals, this activity seeker's paradise is a great location for a fun filled holiday.
The cottage is located on a quiet lane off Highway 28 so is easily accessible at all times of the year. It's plowed to the door so is great for a weekend stop on a snowmobile getaway or a cross country ski outing (Silent Lake Provincial Park is just 10 minutes away). Once on the property, you have a nature lover's delight. A panoramic view of Paudash Lake, open skies for star gazing and bird watching (osprey, heron, loons and more) opportunities await you. The cottage is located at a spot on the lake frequented by canoeists who love the tranquillity, and fishermen in search of the perfect catch.
With a bright and sunny interior boasting lots of pine and windows, the open plan living area and the high ceilings give it a feeling of space and light.. There's a well equipped kitchen overlooking the dining area, and a screened sun room for pleasant evenings. The living area is across the lakeside of the property and there are expansive views of the water from all vantage points.
Three bedrooms and a bathroom complete this lovely accommodation.
There's over an acre of lawned gardens with a firepit for enjoying the evenings on the lake. The waterfront has weedy sections so is not really suitable for swimming, however if you rent a boat, or bring your own, there's a sand spit about 10 minutes by boat, where you can enjoy clear swimming water. This cottage is particularly suitable for avid fishermen who want to enjoy the splendid opportunities this lake has for angling.
Getting to this wonderful location is easy - under 3 hours from Torontoor less than 2 from Oshawa.. Once here, there is plenty to see and do. Silent Lake Provincial Park is just 10 minutes drive. The attractive riverside town of Bancroft is nearby with its art galleries, craft shops and restaurants. But, if you simply want to chill out and enjoy, settle down on the deck and just take in the view. |
