Adironat Haliburton Highlands - Tamarack Lake

A great cottage that is bound to be a favourite with families, Adironat has southerly exposure with a panoramic view of the lake from the living room, deck and dock. The gradual access into the clear waters of Tamarack Lake is a dream.

The new owners have given the property a fresh look and created delightful outdoor areas including a shady seating area with traditional twig furniture and a brand new dock for sitting out to enjoy the late afternoon sun. Together with the large expanse of lawn and shallow entry waterfront area, the exterior of the property has something to appeal to all ages and levels of activity. The owners have provided a rowboat, canoe, kayak and pedalboat for exploring the lake. Tamarack is one of the few designated no-motor lakes in southern Ontario and appeals to those looking for tranquillity and peaceful days without the incessant motor-boat noise that pollutes so many of the smaller lakes.

The main entry to the cottage is into a lobby where the washer and dryer are located, and then into a hallway off which are three bedrooms and a bathroom -two of the bedrooms have waterside views. To the other end of the hallway is the large kitchen and dining area that offer a lot of space for culinary creations and family meals. A small sunroom off one end of the kitchen has a door to the deck and stairs to a lower level exit. (The basement area is unfinished and not accessible for guest use).

The light-filled cottage offers beautiful views of the water from the large, comfortable living room which has a propane stove for cooler evenings and a sliding door to the deck where there is barbecue and outdoor seating, along with steps to the garden.

Located at the south of the Haliburton Highlands near the small hamlet of Gooderham, this is a great starting off point for exploring the area, from Bancroft to the east, Kinmount and Minden to the west and the town of Haliburton to the north. Whether you enjoy driving tours and finding out-of-the-way art and craft stores and restaurants, or are looking for a more active vacation that includes hiking and biking, this is an ideal spot.
