On the sandy shores of Lake Huron at Pike Bay resides this cottage, which boasts its own 300 foot shoreline with a boardwalk that travels from the shore )stretching almost 200 feet) to a deck on the water level. Twenty minutes north of Wiarton on the always attractive Bruce Peninsula, this private three bedroom cottage in among the trees of a three acre lot will make a luxury vacation for anyone looking to spend some time relaxing.
A large grass lot outside the cottage has more than enough space for just about any outdoor game, and there is a pit for playing horse shoes by the shoreline. The walk from the water's edge to the shoreline is approximately 300 meters of sandy or muddy earth with some grass and reeds. The water in this area is shallow and warm in the summer.
The front of the cottage features a large two-level deck that hosts Muskoka chairs, an outdoor dining set and umbrella. Inside, the cottage is clean, comfortable and provides visitors and guests with everything they will need to enjoy their time here. The well-equipped kitchen allows for the preparation of everything from simple snacks to gourmet meals, and the living and dining rooms are very welcoming. The cottage also has an on-site laundry room with washer and dryer. A children's bedroom comes complete with combination bed and playhouse.
Anyone seeking some scenic pictures and sights will have little difficulty finding it. The Bruce Peninsula, which is always great for hiking, exploring, spending some time with the gorgeously blue waters and viewing beautiful sunsets - some of the best in the world - followed by astounding starry nights will provide you with plenty of breathtaking views. If the picture of yourself relaxing on a deck chair out by the water, the birds offering the occasional call back and forth as you sip a coffee and enjoy a good book in the sun appeals to you, Sunset Acres would be a good location for realizing that delightful daydream.
The main feature of this cottage is safety for children - dead end roads..almost NO traffic...The water is very shallow with no large waves and no current whatsoever...This is a wonderful place for children and the sunsets - some of the best in the world - are absolutely wonderful.
Note - if you are considering an extended family gathering, Sunset Hideaway is just 5 cottages down the road.
