Green Acres is not located on a waterfront lot; instead it’s tucked back into the trees about 300 meters from Lake Huron. Visitors to the Green Acres cottage can access the Lake Huron shoreline by walking down a quiet cottage road. The water’s edge is flat rock and the lake water is shallow on entry. The lake bottom at the shoreline is sandy in spots with some small rocks. Deeper water is accessible by wading away from the shore. Water shoes are recommended everywhere on the Bruce Peninsula. The views over Lake Huron and the cooling breezes during the summer will make this water’s edge a perfect destination for visitors that want to go for a walk and a refreshing swim; in the evening, the sunset views over Lake Huron will be spectacular.
A sand beach is located on Georgian Bay in the nearby town of Lion’s Head. Other beaches and swimming locations are available throughout the Bruce Peninsula and it can be fun to explore these other areas during summer vacations.
During the winter months, snowmobilers will appreciate this cottage because it is located just down the road from a major snowmobile trail that runs up the Bruce Peninsula to Tobermory or down country toward Wiarton.
This cottage is available year round.
